Bauer’s Supreme Fuse slots into the Supreme family as a more accessible take on the wide, rigid profile that defined the Shadow — the same squared butterfly and post-to-post coverage, but with a softer, more ergonomic feel below the knee that opens it up to a wider range of goalies.
Core construction
The Fuse is built around Bauer’s Flex Profile 3 Core with a 151° knee break and 120° boot break, holding a rigid, squared butterfly shape with a wide boot break that maximizes post-to-post coverage. A CURV® composite reinforced thigh rise keeps a tight, springy five-hole seal without adding weight, and resists cracking or deforming in the cold far better than ABS, polycarbonate or fiberglass cores. Rebound Boost foams give the pad an active, controllable rebound, while the thermo-formed S.L.1.D.3.R. skin keeps slides quick and sharp.
Flex options
Stock is the mid-flex Flex Profile 3 core, with stiffer (mild pre-curve) and extra-stiff options for goalies with a wide butterfly chasing maximum coverage and rebound speed. Bauer also carries over softer, Vapor-style flex profiles for goalies who want a thinner, more pliable feel with strong rebounds.
Strapping, calf and boot
The Fuse anchors with a single-bracket calf plate and support pillow — tighter than the Shadow’s double-bracket plate, but with a bit more give between the calf and core for comfort across more play styles. The stock Calf Lock System is a wide, padded A-strap that’s tension-adjustable across the top, bottom and sides. Down at the boot, the stock 120° Recoil Boot pairs a deep-fit channel with springy foams for a reactive, precise feel off the skates, with flat-profile and softer-flex boot options available.
The glove and blocker
The matching Supreme Fuse catch glove and blocker round out the set, carrying the same Supreme response and build language for goalies who want the full kit.
