"Vizual Edge has added a quality element to my preparation as a goaltender. I use the game day drills every game before heading to the rink. It’s a combination of recognition, reaction and focus that activates my brain and eyes to feel ready for what’s to come.” — Jordan Binnington

Joey Daccord has been busy since InGoal Magazine connected with him on the eve of training camp for both a can’t miss Podcast Episode and an informative Pro Reads session, signing a five-year contract extension with the Seattle Kraken shortly after, and coming off a shutout Wednesday to extend his personal win streak to five games.
Daccord is no stranger to Pro Reads, having done an extended sit down during his time with the Ottawa Senators way back in 2021, and our follow-up with the insightful puck-stopper already produced a memorable and informative first Pro Reads in Kraken colors, but almost a month has passed so we figured it was time to check back in on the Seattle stopper.

Do you have to treat the puck carrier any different because of those factors?
Does handedness matter? What do you make of Daccord’s positioning and an apparent slight body lean away from Ovechkin at this point in the sequence?
THE SAVE
Now watch it play out and ask yourself the same questions:
As he comes across do you think he’s trying to react or block on Ovechkin?
THE PRO READ
Now let’s hear from Daccord on how he saw this sequence unfold and he managed it:
