Born Apr 2, 2000 · Congers, New York, United States
Abbey Levy
Abbey Levy grew up in Congers, New York, and by the time she arrived at the college level, she had already collected three USA Hockey Youth National Championships while playing for Shattuck-St. Mary's. That foundation carried into her collegiate career, which began at Minnesota State Mankato, where she appeared in 56 games over two seasons and recorded eight shutouts before transferring to Boston College.
At Boston College, Levy developed into one of the more accomplished goaltenders in Hockey East. In the 2021-22 season she was named a semifinalist for the NCAA's National Goaltender of the Year Award, an honor she earned again the following year, becoming a two-time semifinalist across her senior and graduate seasons. Her 2021-22 season also included the Bertagna Trophy, awarded to the top goaltender at the Beanpot Tournament. In 2022-23, her final college season, she posted a .947 save percentage — a single-season program record at Boston College and second-best among all Division I goaltenders nationally that year — and was named a Hockey East Second Team All-Star. She also served as Alternate Captain for the Eagles that season.
On the international stage, Levy was part of the United States roster that won gold at the 2023 IIHF Women's World Championship.
The PWHL's inaugural draft followed in 2023, and New York selected Levy in the eleventh round, 64th overall. She earned her first PWHL start against Toronto on January 5, 2024, and recorded her first PWHL win against Montréal on February 21, 2024. In her second season with New York, she appeared in two games — against Minnesota on December 22, 2024, and against Montréal on May 3, 2025 — recording 33 saves across 76:52 of ice time. On June 20, 2025, Levy signed a one-year Standard Player Agreement with the Boston Fleet through the 2025-26 season. She wears number 39 and stands 6'1", catching left.
