Born Apr 2, 2000 · Congers, New York, United States
Abbey Levy
Abbey Levy grew up in Congers, New York, and built her early foundation in the sport at Shattuck-St. Mary's, where she won three USA Hockey Youth National Championships before moving on to college hockey.
Levy played two seasons at Minnesota State Mankato from 2018 to 2020, appearing in 56 games and recording eight shutouts. She then transferred to Boston College, where she developed into one of the more recognized goaltenders in Hockey East. In the 2021-22 season she was named a semifinalist for the NCAA's National Goaltender of the Year Award, and she repeated that recognition in her graduate season of 2022-23. That final year at BC was her most statistically productive — she posted a .947 save percentage, which ranked second nationally among Division I goaltenders and established a single-season program record at Boston College. The Hockey East acknowledged that season with a Second Team All-Star selection. She also won the Bertagna Trophy as the top goaltender at the 2021-22 Beanpot Tournament and served as Alternate Captain for Boston College in 2022-23.
Before entering the PWHL, Levy earned a gold medal with Team USA at the 2023 IIHF Women's World Championship.
New York selected Levy in the eleventh round, 64th overall, in the 2023 PWHL Draft. She earned her first PWHL start against Toronto on January 5, 2024, and her first PWHL win came against Montréal on February 21, 2024. In her second season with New York, she appeared in two games — against Minnesota on December 22, 2024, and against Montréal on May 3, 2025 — recording 33 saves over 76 minutes and 52 seconds of play. On June 20, 2025, Levy signed a one-year Standard Player Agreement with the Boston Fleet through the 2025-26 season. Standing at 6-foot-1, the left-catching goaltender wears number 39.
