Bio updated:

Callie Shanahan, a left-catching goaltender from Commerce Township, Michigan, was selected by the New York Sirens of the Professional Women's Hockey League before her 22nd birthday. She wore number 37 through all four years at Boston University, where she appeared in 77 games and finished her collegiate career with 32 wins, 29 losses, and six ties.

Her senior season at BU marked several career bests. Shanahan was named an assistant captain of the Terriers, started 29 of 30 games, posted a 1.81 goals-against average, a .924 save percentage, 18 wins, and three shutouts. She earned a spot on the Hockey East All-Tournament Team that season and was also recognized on the Hockey East All-Academic Team — an honor she received three times during her college career (2021–22, 2023–24, and 2024–25).

Shanahan's freshman year at BU drew immediate recognition as well. She appeared in 14 games and posted a .925 save percentage, earning unanimous selection to the Hockey East All-Rookie Team.

Her national program history predates her time at Boston University. Shanahan won a gold medal with Team USA at the 2020 IIHF Women's U18 World Championship and was invited to the USA Hockey National Festival twice — once before her freshman year and again during her junior season. She also represented the United States in the Collegiate Series against Team Canada in both 2022 and 2024.
