Bio updated:

Callie Shanahan, a left-catching goaltender from Commerce Township, Michigan, wrapped up her NCAA career at Boston University before signing with the New York Sirens of the Professional Women's Hockey League. Born on May 26, 2003, Shanahan wore number 37 through four seasons with the Terriers, appearing in 77 games and finishing with 32 wins.

Her freshman year made an immediate impression on the Hockey East record books: appearing in 14 games, she posted a .925 save percentage and was unanimously selected to the Hockey East All-Rookie Team. By her senior season in 2024–25, she had been named an assistant captain and started 29 of the team's 30 games. That final college campaign produced the strongest numbers of her NCAA tenure — a 1.81 GAA, a .924 save percentage, 18 wins, and three shutouts. She also earned Hockey East All-Tournament Team recognition that year.

Off the ice, Shanahan received Hockey East All-Academic Team honors three times during her college career: in 2021–22, 2023–24, and 2024–25.

Her international résumé began before she ever suited up for Boston University. She won a gold medal with the United States at the 2020 IIHF Women's World U18 Championship, and was later invited to play in the USA Hockey Collegiate Series against Canada in both 2022 and 2024. During her junior year at BU, she received a second invitation to the USA Hockey National Festival, having first been invited prior to her freshman season.

Shanahan is currently a member of the New York Sirens organization.
