Elaine Chuli
Elaine Chuli grew up in Waterford, Ontario, and went on to spend four seasons between 2012 and 2016 playing for the University of Connecticut Huskies, where she set program records for most saves in a single season and over a career. She also earned the distinction of becoming the all-time saves leader in Hockey East conference history. During her time at UConn, she picked up WHEA Honorable Mention All-Star recognition in 2013–14 and recorded a career-best 55 saves in a single game.
Her international career began early. In 2012, she was part of the Canadian team that won gold at the IIHF U18 Women's World Championship.
After college, Chuli moved through several professional stops. She played with the Vanke Rays in the CWHL during the 2017–18 season, then with the Toronto Furies in 2018–19, and participated with the PWHPA in 2019–20. Beginning in the 2020–21 season, she joined the Toronto Six of the PHF, where she spent three seasons. In 2021–22, she was named PHF Goaltender of the Year. The following season, she was part of the Toronto Six team that won the Isobel Cup in 2023.
Chuli now plays for the Toronto Sceptres in the PWHL, wearing number 29.
