Marek Schwarz

Marek Schwarz was selected by the St. Louis Blues in the first round, 17th overall, of the 2004 NHL Draft — a notable placement for a goaltender born in Mladá Boleslav, Czech Republic, on April 1, 1986. Standing 6'0" and weighing 180 pounds, the right-catching netminder represented one of the earlier picks in that draft class.

His NHL career amounted to six games with the Blues across the 2006–08 period, during which he posted a goals-against average of 4.32 and a save percentage of .809 with no wins and two losses. The bulk of his professional career — stretching from 2003 to 2023 — was spent in the Czech Extraliga.
