Marty Turco
Marty Turco was born on August 13, 1975, in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, and was selected by the Dallas Stars in the fifth round of the 1994 NHL Draft, 20th pick of that round. He went on to play 11 seasons in the NHL, appearing in 543 games and finishing his career with 275 wins, 167 losses, 40 overtime losses, a 2.36 goals-against average, a .910 save percentage, and 41 shutouts.
Turco spent the majority of his NHL career — nine seasons — with the Dallas Stars before playing one season each with the Chicago Blackhawks and the Boston Bruins. He is a left-catching goaltender who stood 5'11" and weighed 184 pounds during his playing days.
Since retiring, Turco has moved into broadcasting, serving as an in-studio analyst at NHL Network.
