Marty Turco was born on August 13, 1975, in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, and went on to play 11 seasons in the National Hockey League after being selected by the Dallas Stars in the fifth round of the 1994 draft. Standing 5'11" and weighing 184 pounds, the left-catching goaltender spent the bulk of his career in Dallas before finishing with stints in Chicago and Boston.
Over 543 NHL regular-season games, Turco recorded 275 wins, 167 losses, and 40 overtime losses, finishing with a career goals-against average of 2.36, a save percentage of .910, and 41 shutouts. Following his playing career, he has served as an in-studio analyst at NHL Network.
