Roman Turek
Roman Turek was born on May 21, 1970, in Strakonice, Czech Republic. The 6'4", 222-pound right-catching goaltender was selected by Dallas in the sixth round of the 1990 NHL Draft, 128th overall, and went on to appear in 328 NHL games across stops with the Dallas Stars, St. Louis Blues, and Calgary Flames.
Over his NHL career, Turek posted 159 wins against 115 losses, with a goals-against average of 2.31, a save percentage of .907, and 27 shutouts. Following his time in the NHL, he returned to play in the Czech Extraliga with HC České Budějovice.
