Adam Werner’s unique stick grip first caught our eye while he was up with the Colorado Avalanche two seasons ago, but a recent visit with the Stockton Heat finally presented a chance to dig in deeper on his oversized cut-out and multi-layered approach of his Bauer twig.

As a bonus, Werner also spent some time doing puck-handling specific drills with Calgary Flames goaltending development coach Thomas Speer, giving us a chance to add videos of that work to this quick hit on the stick preferences of the 6-foot-5 Swedish stopper.
