Anneliese Bergmann made history by starting a game for the Janesville Jets in the NAHL before heading to Cornell University for women's hockey. Gage Alexander, a 6'6" goaltender, signed a pro contract mid-WHL season and joined the Anaheim Ducks' AHL organization, drawing attention from Ducks staff who see significant potential in the young netminder.

Alexander may not have made history but in signing a pro contract and going to play in the AHL partway through his WHL season, he certainly turned heads not the least of whom include the Anaheim Ducks staff who see great potential in the 6’6″ goaltender.
