Connor Hellebuyck Pro Reads Compilation

Special moments call for special celebrations, and that’s exactly what we had in mind when we decided to switch up Pro Reads to commemorate Connor Hellebuyck winning his second straight — and third overall — Vezina Trophy and the Hart Trophy as NHL MVP.

Hellebuyck’s incredible success if tied to his ability to read the game, anticipate plays and shots, and stay one step ahead on both, so we are sharing 21 minutes of the Winnipeg Jets award-winning goalie doing just that in an extended video review session.

With an eye towards trying something different, and with feedback from InGoal Premium readers saying they want to be able to more easily digest one Pro Reads after another while screen sharing it on their television, we combined all eight video breakdowns with Hellebuyck into one big video. Just as we traditionally show you the save on its own first in our weekly Pro Reads videos, and ask you to think through the scenario and how you would manage it (and more importantly, why) in order to make it an educational process, each save starts with a video replay before Hellebuyck appears in to break it all down.
