Nicole Hensley
Nicole Hensley grew up in Lakewood, Colorado, and before she ever turned professional, she had already won the Colorado Sportswoman of the Year award three consecutive times — from 2013 to 2015 — and was inducted into the Colorado Sportswomen of the Year Hall of Fame in 2015.
At Lindenwood University, Hensley compiled records that stood as the program's all-time marks in saves, wins, save percentage, minutes played, and shutouts upon her graduation. She was a four-time all-CHA selection and earned CHA Goalie of the Week honors nine times. Her academic record matched her on-ice production: she was a three-time CoSIDA Academic All-American, a four-time CHA Student Athlete of the Year, and a four-time member of the CHA All-Academic team.
On the international stage, Hensley has been a fixture in the United States women's national program. She was part of two Olympic teams — winning gold at the 2018 Winter Games and silver at the 2022 Winter Games — and has appeared at six IIHF Women's World Championships, earning gold medals in 2016, 2017, and 2023, and silver medals in 2021, 2022, and 2024.
Hensley currently plays for the Minnesota Frost of the PWHL. She appeared on InGoal Radio in January 2024 InGoal Radio Episode 242 with Nicole Hensley. InGoal Magazine has covered Nicole Hensley in one podcast appearance.
