Nicole Hensley
Nicole Hensley grew up in Lakewood, Colorado, where she won the Colorado Sportswoman of the Year award three consecutive times from 2013 to 2015 and was inducted into the Colorado Sportswomen of the Year Hall of Fame in 2015 — honors that came before she had finished her college career.
Hensley played collegiate hockey at Lindenwood University, where she left as the program's all-time leader in saves (4,094), wins (30), save percentage (.921), minutes played (7,117:44), and shutouts (four). She was also a three-time CoSIDA Academic All-American.
On the international stage, Hensley has been a fixture with the U.S. Women's National Team. She was a member of two Olympic squads — winning gold at the 2018 Winter Games and silver at the 2022 Winter Games — and has appeared at six IIHF Women's World Championships, collecting gold medals in 2016, 2017, and 2023, and silver medals in 2021, 2022, and 2024.
