There’s been a lot of talk about prioritizing angle over depth in Pro Drills and Pro Tips articles in recent weeks, but Is there ever a time you shouldn’t? Are there situations where depth becomes the first thing we try to add?

Philadelphia Flyers goalie development coach Brady Robinson outlined one such situation – and it’s an increasingly common type of attack – in a recent on-ice session at the Lynden Sammartino Goaltending School with InGoal’s Matthew Hutchison.

That situation? Stepping off the post for a shot from the short-side.
