Daccord also took the time after the big game to reflect on his son’s path to the NHL, where he is now getting his first chance to carry a starter’s workload and thriving in the role, and all the ups and downs that come with choosing a different route at various points along the path, including second guessing some of those decisions made and lessons that will also hit home for a lot of goalie parents, goalies from youth league through minor pro, and hopefully some coaches too.
