Joey’s Tips:
- Play Other Sports
- Put the gear away for a bit in the spring/summer for a break
- Don’t play in every single spring/summer tournament
- Focus on skating
- Play forward!
And Brian’s bonus brought us some great back and forth between the father-son duo as they talk about why it’s a good idea – contrary to what many believe – to let your young goalie practice with a forward’s stick and gloves when learning to shoot.
